COC/CMIS Acronym Guide

COC/CMIS Acronym Guide

INTRODUCTION.

This abbreviation/acronym guide has been compiled by Housing Alliance Delaware's CMIS program as a reference to commonly-used acronyms used while talking about our work. Many of these acronyms are used nationwide, while some are specific to Delaware's homeless response system.

The goal of this document is to be expanded to cover terms used by all CoC-related programs, for shared definitions to increase cross-program language:
  1. Community Management Information System (CMIS),
  2. Centralized Intake (CI), and
  3. the Continuum of Care (COC) itself.
Definitions will be added as needed or as time allows, or can be provided as requested. Submit requests to Housing Alliance Delaware at any time for further clarification.
