INTRODUCTION. This guide outlines how CMIS end users for at YWCA can add internal referrals to other programs in the organization. This will allow referrals to be added during the organization's internal intake process to be counted for internal reports.
1. If needed, use "Back Date Mode" to shift the system to the date and time that the referral was sent.
3. In the Service Transactions tab, click on “Add Referrals”.
4. Select all the applicable household members by clicking on the check box next to their name.

Under the Needs Assignment, select a Need
listed under the Service Code Quicklist. Each option in the Service Code Quicklist refers to a YWCA program.
Multiple options can be selected at once using the Control ("Ctrl") button.
Then click “Add Terms”.
6. Under the Referral Provider Quicklist, click on the drop down and select the only option: “YWCA - Internal Referral Provider (1066)”. Then, click “Add Provider”.
a. Make sure that the box/es of the need/s that is/are being referred are checked off.
NOTE: The Needs Referral Date will automatically set to the date on your computer settings. It is possible to change this to the past, to accurately reflect when the referral was made.
8. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save ALL”.
9. After saving a Referral, you will be sent to the "Previous Referrals" page of the client's profile. You can click on the Edit/pencil icon that corresponds to the referral whose outcome needs to be updated.
10. In the "Referral Data" section, update the Referral Outcome. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save & Exit" button.
