Long Stayers (Local Settings)

Why this happens: This warning helps identify enrollments that may have stayed open longer than expected under local program rules.
  1. This warning is used to review whether a project is moving clients to housing within the expected local          timeframe.
  2. It also helps confirm that the enrollment length is accurate and reflects the client’s actual stay.
  3. Keeping this information current improves data quality and strengthens performance reporting.

Local setting limits for the following project types is set to 90 days:

o   Emergency Shelter

o   Street Outreach

o   Day Shelter

o   Services Only

o   Coordinated Entry

o   Other

How to fix this:

1.  Open the client’s profile and review the project enrollment date.

2.  Review the notes in the client’s file.

3.  Confirm whether the client is still actively receiving services. If so, no action is needed for this warning.

4.  If the client has been exited from the project, use backdate mode when available. For shelter enrollments, backdate manually, within entry/exit assessment, because backdate mode is locked. For PATH enrollments, switch to Enter Data As (EDA) mode. This is not required to fix errors or warnings for other project enrollments.
