Days since Most Recent CLS Exceeds Local Settings
Project Types: Street Outreach, Services Only, and
Coordinated Entry.
Why this happens: The client has an active
enrollment, but no one has updated their Current Living Situation (CLS) record
within the timeframe required by local community standards (90 days). This
warning means that either a client has not been contacted or needs to be
exited. Leaving the enrollment open inflates stay lengths and triggers data
quality flags.
Example: This client (created via the training/demo
Community Services website) was enrolled in a Street Outreach project on
6/3/2025. The last Current Living Situation entry was on 12/4/2025. Today’s
date is 5/27/2026. It’s been over 5 months since a new CLS was added.

To clear this warning, review your case notes:
If you are still in contact with the client but have not
updated their profile, add a new CLS entry for each client contact so every
interaction is counted separately.
- Open the client’s files and navigate to the
entry/assessment screen.
- Scroll down to the Current Living Situation
sub-assessment table.
- Click the green ADD button at the bottom of
the table to open a new entry form.

4.
Input the Start Date and Information Date
(reflecting the date of your last interaction)

5.
Select the client’s updated Current Living
Situation from the drop-down menu.
6.
Complete the remaining required fields and click
save.
If you are unable to locate the client for an extended
period, over 90 days, they must be exited from the project.
Navigate
to the entry/exit tab. Click the pencil icon next to Exit date.
Locate
the date of the last recorded CLS entry where you had confirmed
face-to-face contact with the client.
For
PATH enrollments, switch to Enter Data As (EDA) mode. This is not required
to fix errors or warnings for other project enrollments.
Enter
that exact last contact date as the Project Exit Date (do not use today’s
date, as HUD rules require backdating the exit to match the date of last
contact).
Set
the Exit Destination to match their last known CLS environment.
Save
and close the exit assessment.
